JOB SUMMARYThe Health Information Management (HIM) Analyst 2 is responsible and accountable for a wide variety of functions within the HIM Department. These functions can include the following: greets customers, answers and directs phone calls, record processing functions. The specific functions assigned depend on complexity of the facility and its staffing needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEAnswers and directs phone calls appropriately.Receives and/or retrieves patient records.Processes medical record documentation to include prepping, scanning/importing, indexing, and quality control.Appropriately prepares and files and/or boxes medical records for the purposes of record retention
