Responsibilities
Medical Director â“ Pediatric Hospitalist
Location: Iredell Memorial Hospital, Statesville, North Carolina Organization: Pediatrix Medical Group
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Pediatric Hospitalist-Medical Director to lead our newly established practice at Iredell Memorial Hospital, a 247-bed comprehensive healthcare facility with approximately 600â“800 births annually.
Leadership Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a pediatric hospitalist program from the ground up. As Medical Director, you will:
Provide strategic and clinical oversight of the pediatric hospitalist practice
Collaborate closely with hospital administration and regional leadership
Mentor and support fellow physicians
Represent the practice in hospital and community leadership roles
Clinical Responsibilities
Manage pediatric patients in the inpatient unit
Provide coverage for the newborn nursery
Consult with families and referring providers
Participate in call coverage
Offer consultative support in the Emergency Department
Attend high-risk deliveries as needed
