Certified Recovery Specialist
Job SummaryThe Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) is a member of a multidisciplinary clinical and research team working to address opioid use disorders within Geisinger’s medication treatment program. The CRS provides recovery support services within the clinic and community by providing outreach, hope, and encouragement to patients with complex addiction, behavioral, and psychosocial needs. Drawing on personal experiences with and knowledge of local recovery resources, the CRS acts as a resource to help patients navigate healthcare and community resources as directed by the patient’s own recovery journey.
